Mick Harris’ Fret project is back on L.I.E.S. with a new EP. The eponymous release finds the Napalm Death/Lull fellow demonstrating once more that he is the king of industrial techno. These are masterful bits of dancefloor hardwear, ones whose beats punch holes in the mix while screeching distortion and dubwise atmospherics swirl all around. Cuts like ‘Pirates’ and ‘The Hill’ sound like something from Ostgut Ton that’s been put through the ringer.
