Editors’ 6th album, the electronic rock-infused Violence, signalled a belligerent return to form, a face cast towards the dancefloor. Arguably, this tonal shift couldn’t have been achieved without the assistance of one Benjamin John Power, aka Blanck Mass, one half of drone act Fuck Buttons. The Blanck Mass Sessions documents Power’s early and unused versions of Violence tracks, a hearty side serving of heavy synth and meteoric pop movers.
