A four-year hiatus bridges the wide gulf between Siskiyou’s 2015 album and Not Somewhere, an LP that finds band leader Colin Huebert alone at home with a slight array of instruments and recording gear, wallowing in the worries of quotidian life, enhancing them to larger than life proportions. This is a kind of indie folk you didn’t know was still capable of being made: sincere and longing, wrought with existential angst and hopeless faith.
