Marissa Nadler links up with Mutoid Man/Cave In fellow Stephen Brodsky for this new collaborative LP. As one might expect from its title, Droneflower is a record drenched in the heavy sonics of drone. The way in which the vocals and instrumentation are thickly clogged with reverb is reminiscent of Grouper or Chelsea Wolfe. When you navigate your way through the fog you find yourself dealing with songs of elemental power - think early Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds.
