Devendra Banhart’s compilation Fragments du Monde Flottan is labour of love. Assembled over a period of years, this LP presents a set of demos from Banhart’s close friends and acquaintances. It provides a stark, intimate and often very moving look into the processes of some alternative music luminaries both past and present. Vashti Bunyan, Arthur Russell, Nils Frahm and Helado Negro are just four of the artists that Fragments du Monde Flottan shines a light on.
