Eternal Influence 1 sees Norken construct some of his most spacious and audacious techno cuts to date — not bad for his Third Ear Recordings debut. This EP is like one, epic track; thumping a robotic bass line one moment, soaring into the ether the next. More markedly a future funk affair than his past releases, a chopped and screwed bass chases the rhythm throughout, really sealing the deal. From here, the sky’s the limit.
