Following up the Postcards and Ghostwriting projects, Correspondence sees indie folk singer-songwriter Jens Lekman enlist fellow Swedish composer Annika Norlin for a conceptually playful LP. Each month, one of the duo would write a letter-style song and the next month, the other would reply, limiting themselves to the immediacy of composing on a single instrument and voice. The intimacy of ‘everyday’ instances — meeting a mountaineer, showering in public, deliberating joining a cult — paired with bare-bone guitars make for a lovely set of epistolary musical diary entries.
