Acid! Lots of it! Tin Man and AAAA — known collectively as DOVS — want nothing less on debut LP Silent Cities. You already know what this is, chockablock with the unlocked emotive potential of 303s and mad acid box vibes. But there’s something distinct about this collaboration, as Tin Man and AAAA ably extract techno goodness from darkness (‘Nostalgic Oblivion’, ‘Sixteenth Shelters’) as well as light (‘Distant Buildups’, ‘Portal Vein’). Don’t sleep on ‘Diazepam Blues’, an anthem for DOVS if ever there was one.
