Emerging from a long stint of minor releases with strikingly bold debut LP on Dial, Amsterdam-based musician-producer Tom Ruijg — aka Tracey — marks himself out as one of electronic music’s young hopefuls. Biostar achieves a precious sort of tenderness rarely seen in the genre; gorgeously minimal yet imbued with emotional intelligence — a happy loneliness.
