A great force of production and performance in the world of experimental electronic music, Kampala, Uganda’s Faizal Mostrixx, ever since debut LP Tribal Match, has continually directed his energies into preserving and extrapolating the musical traditions of his homeland, and lending a voice to the development of African cultural heritage altogether. Ghosts EP marks another chapter of Faizal’s manifesto, forging inextricable ties between traditional instrumentation and dancefloor technologies — which, as it happens, are mostly the same thing.
