Remember the score to A Clockwork Orange, made up of synth arrangements of Beethoven and Rossini? Slava Tsukerman’s beguiling soundtrack to obscure indie sci-fi flick Liquid Sky takes a similarly uncanny tract, composing classical and avant garde inflections with synthesised sound, although Tsukerman’s sound is much more terrifying — a major achievement in film composition in itself — managing to sound like consumer electronic instruments haunted by ghosts from the distant future. It properly has to be heard to be believed.
