Recorded over a paced stretch between 2015 and 2018 in the seaside city of Thessaloniki, Greece, acid house techie Dim DJ slows things down a smidge on Recurring Patterns. But don’t take him for some idle retiree; his second release on June houses an industrious set of endurance-testing workouts, perhaps slight in bpm, but vast in thinking space and fierce with ingenuity. This is some steely constitution acid house, bleached from hours in the sun.
