Back in 2015 the Finnish duo Amnesia Scanner teamed up with PAN Records boss Bill Kouligas for an improvised live set at London’s Institute of Contemporary Arts. Having since honed the work - entitled Lexachast - at festivals like Unsound and transmediale, the group are now releasing recordings of it for the first time. As one might expect, a piece that features Kouligas and AS was never going to be an easy ride. Lexachast is a ferocious and unsettling blend of deconstructed club sonics, found sounds, power electronics and generally all other musics that sound like they’ve been made by someone scraping rusty nails over sheet metal.
