upsammy returns to Rotterdam’s Nous’klaer Audio to drop her first LP. Well, mini-LP. Whatever it is, Wild Chamber is a rich and frequently beautiful listen. This record is characterised by twinkling synthscapes of the type we’ve seen cropping up in Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith’s output of late. The treatment of these tones varies across the record - the way that melodies bob in the water on ‘Between The Stone’ and ‘Blue Cornflower’ is simply gorgeous, but tracks like ‘Each So Deep’ upset the rhythm with jerky electro-techno beats. There is even a frosty chill that creeps in on moments like Wild Chamber’s title track.
