Berlin-based Canadians Scott Monteith — aka Deadbeat — and Fatima Camara have some fun with Cowboy Junkies’ beloved alt-country classic The Trinity Sessions, transforming it into a dub-inflected minimal pop miracle upon its 30th anniversary. Trinity Thirty joins the great pantheon of outstanding cover albums — and like all great works of tribute, succeeds in bringing a vastly different perspective to the source material.
