New York DJ and musician Gunnar Haslam treads a path through fictional landscapes and distorted futures on the dilapidated space grooves of Cacique De Poyais. Built on a foundation of mottling high hats and ghostly snares, the EP’s title track sets the scene for the mutated stabs and anti-gravity ping-pong of ‘Port Sommeil’. To top things off, ‘Azote Du Guano’ sets swirling mounds upon mounds of bongo-driven deep house.
