London’s Exit Records (Dub Phizix, Chimpo) come through with a treasure trove of an EP. Dolenz - the artist behind Balamii’s Infinite Friends show - is the mastermind of Pull. His ultra-wonky beat for the title-track provides a platform from which Guilty Simpson can dominate proceedings, and the other Dolenz original here is a similarly leftfield instrumental reminiscent of Dabrye. We also get a couple of remixes of ‘Pull’ - a melodious hip-hop flip from Darkhouse Family and dBridge’s clattering minimalist d ‘n’ b take. The Pull EP rounds out with instrumentals of the original and dBridge version.
