Concocted from as far back as 1985, Echoes came forth off from the combined energies of its two creators; Frank Harris’ synthesist sensibilities, given shape by a custom made Synclavier synth station, mingle perfectly with Maria Marquez’s spirit, drawn from folklores and traditions of her Venezuelan heritage. It’s a rare and heady mixture of old and new, the archaic and the modern; a place where the luxuriant sophisti-pop of Sade meets with percussive ‘fourth world’ textures.
