Scott Fraser and Joe Hart (not that one) have run London’s much-loved Body Hammer party for over a decade now, so it’s safe to say that this pair know a thing or two about what makes a good club track. On the first release from their similarly-named Body Hammer Records the duo serve up two peak-time techno bangers that are quite close to the stuff you hear coming out on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams. ‘Spit From The Sun’ brings together a jacked drum loop with some psychedelic vocal processing in a manner not dissimilar to Andrew Weatherall. B-side ‘Igniter’ is a swirling jack that sounds like a beefed-up version of Four Tet’s ‘Love Cry’.
