Turkish group Insanlar - who number DJ Baris K and Cem Yıldız among their lineup - debut on Rush Hour with a high-concept techno opus. Demedim Mi consists of one 45-minute-long track split over two sides of wax. The band originally conceived Demedin Mi as a ‘deyiş’ (a traditional song form of Turkey’s Alevi Muslims), but the sessions ended up spawning something rather different. On this record Insanlar fuse deyiş with a psychedelic minimal techno stomp to create a heady brew that takes in Ricardo Villalobos, Breakplus, Yıldız’s solo output and much more.
