Stroboscopic Artefacts boss Lucy drops his first EP through the label’s main series for six years. Dyscamupia contains three versions of the title track that clock in at 120-, 130- and 140-bpm respectively. ‘Dyscamupia (Forward)’ is based around a passage from Albert Camus’ The Stranger, and with its disturbing vocal and nagging minimal groove it comes across like a partner piece to Ricardo Villalobos’ classic remix of Shackleton’s ‘Blood On My Hands’. ‘Dyscamupia (Paused)’ maintains the vibe while ratcheting up the tempo while ‘Dyscamupia (Backward)’ is a Gothic mid-set techno tool.
