An EP of eerie leftfield techno from Swiss artist Tresque here. The tracks on Lensomni each comfortably top the ten-minute mark, but their rate of change is glacial. Both ‘Terapung-apung’ and ‘L’esvelh’ are built from loping minimal grooves that have a nice dubby scuzz to them, something that means they sound a little like Jay Glass Dubs or Nicolas Jaar. Elements are very gradually introduced and taken away as the tracks progress, but largely Tresque lets the icy rhythms here slowly lull you into a trance. The Lensomni EP shows the value of doing things slowly.
