This new collaborative full-length from Poly Chain and Bartosz Krucynski makes sense as a follow up to the gorgeous deconstructed club sounds of Cass.’s 2018 LP Postclub Prism - the first release on Into The Light’s International Parallel series. As anyone who’s heard any of Krucynski or Poly Chain’s previous work will expect, Pulses is a record of twinkling electronic ambiences fashioned from a couple of synths and plenty of hours clocked in the studio. Bar the drum-less acid of ‘Fluxional’ every track here coasts in on a warm bed of pads and twinkling sequencers. Vangelis, Boards Of Canada and Lorenzo Senni all spring to mind when one listens to Pulses.
