Haunting, mid-tempo cold-wave/minimal synth music from Glass Candy with an icy, deadpan vocal delivery from Ida No. 'Beat Box' takes cues from the sultry electro-pop of early Blondie and fuses it with the spirit of CBGBs - however, not just being a goth-revivalist's wet dream, this album also nods to the contempoary no-wave of Nite Jewell and Dopplereffekt, thus occupying it's own unique space within the genre.
