Weaponise Your Sound is a fantastic compilation that has been put together by Kristina McCormick. McCormick is the brains behind NTS programme Diet Clinic, and on this LP she puts the show’s ethos into action by presenting a collection of tracks from female-identifying artists. Released on International Women’s Day, Weaponise Your Sound features a range of music as wide as what you can expect to hear played in a Diet Clinic broadcast. From C.A.R.’s provocative electroclash to Human Jones’ abstract minimal wave, Sue Zuki’s electroacoustic experiments to Slime’s evocative almost-house, this compilation is just as much a celebration of individual styles as it is a display of collective strength. All proceeds from Weaponise Your Sound will go to London housing charity Focus E15.
