Levon Vincent’s latest EP guarantees us Dance Music, and the trio of tunes here certainly deliver on his promise. ‘Track 1’ and ‘Track 3’ (no titles here) are the sort of classy minimal house numbers on which Vincent has built his reputation. Their dubby chords, simple lead lines and gently insistent grooves will make them winning mid-set tools. ‘Track 2’ is more unusual - its phasing marimba loop brings to mind early Steve Reich set to a 4x4 kick.
