Burd is the debut LP from Wilma Vritra, a union of London composer/producer Wilma Archer and his rapping American friend Pyramid Vritra. Aside from both having great names, the pair bring some serious chops to the table on Burd - Archer has worked with Jessie Ware and Jeremiah Jae in the past, while Vritra is a founding member of both The Jet Age Of Tomorrow and Nobody Really Knows. Their musical union spawns an excellent leftfield hip-hop record that sounds like Danny Brown’s XXX, Open Mike Eagle’s Dark Comedy and The Internet’s Hive Mind thrown together in a blender.
