Genres

UNKLE offers up the sequel to 2017’s The Road: Part 1. As with the first volume, Part 2/Lost Highway finds UNKLE main man James Lavelle coming through with some of his most nuanced and varied work to date. While synths and drum machines remain at the core of UNKLE’s compositional style, this collection sees Lavelle using them to create richly detailed tracks that draw as much from Americana, country and rock as they do from electronic styles. The recent work of Nick Cave And The Bad Seeds is an obvious influence. The Road: Part II/Lost Highway has a lengthy and impressive guest list that includes Brian Cox, Mark Lanegan and The Big Pink.
