Overmono’s Poly Kicks imprint have unearthed a gem in the form of newcomer Glyn Hendry. We may not know much about Hendry, but one thing that’s for certain is that they sure know their way around a breakbeat. Both ‘Escape Club 99’ and ‘Dexy’ come from modest beginnings - little more than snappy kick-snare patterns - before turning into drum-led club workouts that manage to balance inventive beat programming with propulsive grooves.
