Buttechno’s Minimal Cuts EP does exactly what it says on the tin. Usually found exploring more dystopian, industrial or leftfield techno stylings, this new EP for Anthony Naples’ and Jenny Slattery’s Incienso finds the Moscow-based producer paring things back on some more patient minimal tools. Occasionally we find some of Buttechno’s typical zaniness taking control - closer ‘Rz Bass’ is a fine mess of chatty machines - but by and large Minimal Cuts is an elegant and classy affair.
