Gavin Bryars Ongoing and extremely moving work 'The Sinking Of The Titanic' gets an update here with the help of Philip Jeck adding a kind of hallucinatory dust and Alter Ego, who add live effects orchestration and foreboding doom. The piece is based on the last song the Titanic Orchestra were supposed to have played, in an act of extraordinary bravery, while the boat sank to it's terrible fate. The cd comes in an oversized wallet with text, a postcard and images.
