Here we see the return of enfant terrible Franck Vigroux. New EP Théorème finds the French guitarist and composer displaying the full scope of his soundworld. Everything from breakbeat to power electronics gets a look-in across Théorème, and the entire record finds itself pervaded with an air of dystopian menace. The ear-splitting noise of ‘VX90’ is a particularly bracing thrill. Théorème is out via DAC Records (formerly D’Autres Cordes), a label that has previously hosted Vigroux’s collaborations with artists like Ben Miller and Matthew Bourne.
