After fleshing out 2016’s Centre Parcs EP into a full-length last year Betonkust and Palmbomen II kick off 2019 with a set of fresh tracks. Parallel B is another collection of melodious, slightly lo-fi club jams from the Dutch duo. The likes of ‘Underground Dance Floor’ and ‘Bart’s Jam’ are clanking techno tools that hark back to the golden age of Detroit. Elsewhere on Parallel B a few of the numbers show off a Balearic influence, while ‘A Series Of Bad Decisions’ is a cross-breeding of electro and early John Carpenter.
