After a year or so away - a time in which he has dropped EPs on Solar Phenomena and Berceuse Heroique - Duckett returns to Wisdom Teeth (Batu, Hodge) with a quartet of new tunes. Corde Raide Nulle Vers Part is another playful collection from the Welsh producer. Tracks such as ‘Looking At Mum Objectively’ and ‘Shoulder Of The Hill’ evoke the melodious, heat-hazed house sound of Shinichi Atobe. The superbly-titled ‘Who Needs The Dregs We Should Cut Off Their Legs (And Have Done)’ wouldn’t sound out of place if it cropped up on a release from Wisdom Teeth’s Bristolian brothers Idle Hands.
