Highly idiosyncratic grime productions from Scratcha DVA and Gage here. Rumour has it that the genesis of this EP was a session in which DVA turned up bleary-eyed and straight out of the club. One listen to the head-mangled, halcyon-glow vibe of ‘FLYTNURSE’ and ‘PIFFD’ and you’re inclined to believe this tale. The combination of inside-out grime beats, watery rave chords and all manner of strange percussion sounds makes one think of some sort of holy-grail collaboration between Sophie, Actress and Logos. ‘FLYTNURSE’/’PIFFD’ is out via Keysound (Blackdown, Moleskin).
