Triple 12" retrospective compliation of Tzusing's first three now out of print EPs on L.I.E.S. spanning 2014-2016. Here is what we said about each upon release... Pt. I: Tzusing keeps things crisp and raw on his first release for LIES. The Shanghai-based promoter and DJ is relatively low key but is sure to turn heads with this release, four tracks built on a foundation of snarling techno and horror EBM. '1976' kicks hard with booming tribal drums under a menacing spoken vocal sample muttering terrifying corporation speak. 'Axis of Revision' is dark music for sleazy dungeons, squawking synths and leathery guitar lines offset by rancorous claps. Pt. II In the same vein as his murky debut, Sing continues to reference early 80’s EBM and industrial themes, updated for today’s basement contingent. A dingy mid-tempo throb opens the EP on ‘4 Floors of Whores’ with its hard industrial drums beefing out the mid-section, whilst ‘Frankencense And Myrrh’ cleverly fuses an ear-piercing, doom-laden synth chord to retro breakbeat drum fills. Pt. III: Here stands a trio of heaters of tough industrial strength techno that owes more to the late '80s martial EBM of Front 242 and the Cabs than Atkins, Saunderson et al. Take those influences and brew them up into an insectoid cauldron of crunchy 90s breakbeats, ominous drones and freaky-voices (‘Face Of Electric’), or the stomping body-music Powell pulse of ‘Emotional Eater’. Finally, ‘R’ sees Tzusing spit the Acid at us.
