Against Fascism Trax is the latest venture from Optimo's JD Twitch, and it’s a noble one. With far-right politics on the rise across the world, Twitch intends to use AF Trax to both promote dialogue with and financially support the fight against fascism. The label’s first drop comes courtesy of Glaswegian veteran Logtoad. Musically, Rat Full Of Coins Vol. 1 contains two bits of updated UK hardcore ala Special Request (‘Ratchet Beat’ and ‘Drill Beat’), a low and slow electro-hip-hop bounce (‘Screw Pump’) and a snappy DJ tool which falls somewhere in between (‘Hex Acid’). In other words, it’s a perfect soundtrack to the fight against the right.
