Kouhei Matsunaga is at war with himself on his latest release. NHK yx koyxen’s Self Split EP sees Matsunaga shapeshift through his various aliases. The two ‘Texture Foggy’ collaborations with Masayuki Imanishi are curious pieces of musique concrete that have a little Rrose about them. However, if you turn your attention to the NHK tracks here you find Mastunaga wedding his experimental electronics to techno rhythms to create a pair of off-kilter DJ tools.
