InFiné drop a mini-LP from newcomer Frieder Nagel. Distract Robots fits in nicely with a label catalogue that also includes Apparat, Carl Craig and Rone. This record is a collection of mournful tech-house number characterised by melodic synth work and a slightly dystopian air. Cuts like ‘They Kept Walking’ and ‘Run’ swell to synthetic crescendos in a manner that should see them get plenty of rotation in the clubs of Berlin. Abstract live take ‘Envolve’ and the Mima-featuring electro-ballad ‘Obey’ give Distract Robots a nice variety.
