Shelley Parker makes her debut to Hessle Audio with the blazing future-tech of her Red Cotton EP, backed with a killer Ploy remix.
Red Cotton walks a tightrope between the elegant ambience of her work composing for choreography work and field recordings from London's Notting Hill Carnival as heard filtered through into her flat. Choppy breakbeats lock eyes with skeletal techno, while the motion is driven fwd by a serious eye trembling help of sub-bass. Ploy meanwhile switches things up a gear, adding his trademark percussive rattle to the mix for a deadly rewiring.
This is a jaw-crushingly strong 12" from an artist we'd advise keeping both eyes on...
