Random Numbers (White Raven, Marco Unzip) drop the first record of a new collaborative project from Brussels-based musicians Matthieu Levet and Ernesto González. On Carcass Identity’s self-titled EP the pair spin out a brand of heady, psychedelic groove music that nods to many genres while remaining ultimately unclassifiable. Kosmische, Krautrock, dub, psychedelic house and more are all thrown into the bubbling cauldron of sound here. It makes for a potent mix not dissimilar to High Places or some of the more abstract moments of Gang Gang Dance’s discography.
