After drops from Lucy and L.B. Dub Corp, the third release in Stroboscopic Artefacts’ Totem series arrives courtesy of Efdemin. On the Wrong Movements EP the Naïf Records boss spins three variant tracks from the same source material. Both ‘Wrong Movements (Circles)’ and ‘Wrong Movements (Left)’ are dubby minimal techno joints - the latter sports a delay-drenched arpeggio that reminds us of Daphni’s acclaimed remix of Cos-Ber-Zam’s ‘Ne Noya’. Indeed, it is this same motif that forms the backbone of ‘Wrong Movements (Right)’, except on this occasion the beat is stripped out and the track has a weightless feel not dissimilar to some of Laraaji’s output.
