The dreamers at Anotherday did the world of techno a solid in reissuing some tracks from legendary Chicago project Traxmen. Having called it a day back in the late 90s, Robert Armani and Paul Johnson’s seminal cuts are up for reappraisal, starting with Basement Trax Vol. 1. Featuring the rough ’n’ ready ‘Make-A-Wish’ and its DJ Rashad-premeditating Acid remix. With sibilant drum machines and very little else, this here is some raw Ghetto House - just as intended.
