Patricia Escudero’s much-loved 1986 LP Satie Sonneries gets reissued by the budding Equilibrio imprint. This record sees the work of seminal proto-minimalist composer Erik Satie performed on an array of keyboards, synthesisers and FX. The resulting record is eerily beautiful in a manner similar to, say, the contemporaneous ambient/neo-classical experiments of Midori Takada. Please note that, though a great deal of work has been put in to restore the audio quality of Satie Sonneries, the fact that the original tapes had deteriorated in the decades since they were first cut has led to some minor sonic glitches. However, these do not significantly affect the quality of this beautiful record.
