After some impressive EPs from artists like MR TC and Aufgang B, the Viennese imprint Neubau drops its first LP courtesy of Nonetheless. A collaborative project between label boss Bocksrucker and Felix Bergleiter (The Bionic Kid), Nonetheless’ eponymous record manages to keep one eye on the dancefloor while also letting some of its more oddball tendencies out to play. Tracks like ‘Machine Of Love & Hate’ and ‘Velvet’ remind one of Modeselektor, while the ‘Belzeflute’ and ‘Cayotte’ interludes are eerie nuggets of music concrete.
