A classic album from a more pure epoch of hip-hop that's output simply oozed quality. This sophomore album from The Pharcyde in 1995 broke many names who ended up becoming highly influential in our zeitgeist. The video for "Drop"; catapulted the fledgling director Spike Jonze (alongside his "Sabotage" video for Beastie Boys) to the hottest property in video promos (and later feature films). "Drop" alongside 6 other tracks on this album were produced by a 21 year old James Dewiit Yancey (aka Jay Dee / J Dilla). Relatively unknown at the time, the young Yancey effortlessly knocked out tracks such as "Running" and "Bullshit" that remain classic to this day with the warmth of sample-led hip-hop production that has still not been bettered.

They really don't make them like they used to. 100% pure classic.
