Mark Archer here with a new EP that drops hot on the heels of his excellent MASC collaboration with Shadow Child. The Altern8 veteran uses Songs For Einna to show the young pretenders how it’s done. Songs For Einna is stuffed full of classic jacked house/techno cuts. An ear for melody helps give numbers like ‘Second Child’ a bit of a Drexciyan flavour, and there will be fewer better examples of nominative determinism in club music this year than ‘I Said Funky'.
