Originally conceived and recorded on a four-track in 2004, Veronica Vasicka’s spectral track ‘From Here’ sounds as if it could’ve emerged from any time in industrial music’s lifespan. The subtle, printer-copier mechanised beat invokes a stripped back Nitzer Ebb, while Vasicka’s ghostly vocal echoes anyone from Einstürzende Neubauten’s Blixa Bargeld to contemporary acts like Carla dal Forno. The In Silhouette 12” is issued here for the first time by Downwards’ Karl O’Connor, aka Regis, whose remix also features.
