This very intense album features an 'orchestra' of four guitarists - including country music singer and cuban music scholar, Ned Sublette; Sonic Youth's Lee Ranaldo and Branca himself. The music is sparse and angular. Guitar phrases are rigid and the composition is very dissonant . An essential purchase for anyone who has an interest in the sound of 'downtown' NYC in the early 80s.
