The peerless Soul Jazz Records with a reissue of some classic UK lovers rock here. Anyone who was a fan of the genre in its late ’70s/early ‘80s heyday will remember Brown Sugar. The London trio scored a string of hits on the British Reggae Charts - including the eponymous track of I’m In Love With A Dreadlocks - but never got round to making a full-length album before they disbanded. This compilation is the first time their work has been pooled on one release. Also contains rare/extended mixes and the liner notes feature interviews with (among others) Dennis Bovell and Brown Sugar member Pauline Catlin.
